ETHEREAL

Ethereal

PAINTINGS BY AGNES COLLIS

WELLFLEET ADULT COMMUNITY CENTER

On display January 3rd -February 3rd

Reception January 7th, 3-5 PM

“Ethereal”, no better word describes the serenity one receives while viewing Agnes Collis’ works in her latest show…Capturing the soothing views of her beloved Cape Cod, the paintings bring you to that location with intense reality but with an added touch of natural fantasy. Agnes captures the simple beauty of life on Cape Cod with her minimalist compositions. She depicts the changing energy of the ocean and the brilliant colors and reflected life of the Cape. The Wellfleet Adult Community Center creates an environment for appreciation of fine art to the community.

Her lifelong love of the coast and the ocean that began in her childhood in the Highlands, New Jersey continued with decades of visiting Cape Cod, culminating in 2000 when she became a resident of Wellfleet.

Agnes has emerged as a landscape painter with a subtle, open aesthetic. Her studio brings the peace and promise of the Atlantic Ocean and the rolling ever changing dune of the coastal highlands.
